Just 63 kilometres from the hotel, the 900-year-old Hohenwerfen Fortress offers visitors an unforgettable experience. In addition to castle tours and exhibitions such as "Mythos Jackl - Hexen & Zauberer in Salzburg" and "Agents die alone", there is also a castle tavern and a knight's shop. Particularly impressive are the daily falcon flight demonstrations in the historic Landesfalkenhof, which also houses Austria's first falconry museum with an educational trail for birds of prey.

The picturesque Königssee is located in the idyllic national park amidst impressive natural scenery. The special feature of Bavaria's most famous mountain lake is that it can only be visited by boat.
